Scientific Journal «State and municipal management. Scholar notes»has been published since January 2000, and is included in the "List of the Higher Attestation Commission (HAC) under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation of peer-reviewed scientific publications in which the main scientific results of dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Sciences, for the degree of Doctor of Sciences, in scientific specialties should be published:

Since September 2025, the journal has been included in the RSCI White List. The journal «State and municipal management. Scholar notes» has been included by the Higher Attestation Commission under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation in the K2 category, which allows them to be recommended for mandatory publication of articles on candidate and doctoral dissertations
